Friends of the Earth Action Endorses Francesca Hong for Wisconsin Governor
WASHINGTON — Friends of the Earth Action is endorsing Francesca Hong for governor of Wisconsin.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Hong is a single mother and former chef who has represented the 76th Assembly district in the Wisconsin State Assembly since 2021. Hong knows well the triumphs and challenges of hard-working Wisconsinites, and as governor she will seek to expand Medicaid and BadgerCare, guarantee paid leave for workers, and provide universal child care.
As governor, she will also call for a one-year moratorium on data center construction, direct state support to small and mid-sized farmers, oppose the Line 5 pipeline, and seek to cap householf utility costs.
Ariel Moger, Director of Public Affairs for Friends of the Earth Action, said: “Francesca Hong is running a grassroots campaign powered by people, not PACs. She is an inspiring and exciting candidate whose progressive solutions can make a big difference in the lives of every child, family, and worker in Wisconsin. We are proud to endorse her for Governor.”
