Democrats must pursue Trump impeachment inquiry

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Donald Trump’s actions have forced a growing list of Congressional Democrats to call for an impeachment inquiry.

In response to these calls, Erich Pica, president of Friends of the Earth Action, U.S., issued the following statement: 

It’s about damn time Democratic leadership got off the dime and started an impeachment inquiry. Congress must restore the checks and balances vital to a healthy democracy capable of protecting people and the environment. Trump has driven the country toward crisis with his petulant refusal to allow oversight and his use of foreign governments to attack his political opponents. Democrats must be uncompromising in holding Trump’s feet to the fire.
