FOE Action set to campaign for Bernie Sanders in Minnesota
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Friends of the Earth Action announce plans, today, to begin active campaigning for Bernie Sanders in Minnesota. Through a door-to-door canvass, the group will conduct outreach efforts to members in the Twin Cities area.
“It’s really about momentum,” said Friends of the Earth Action Vice President Michelle Chan. “Sanders’ showing in Iowa and New Hampshire prove to any doubters the viability of his campaign, and the resonance of his message. People across this country understand that it will take a political revolution to solve the intertwined crises of the environment, income inequality and economic injustice; and Friends of the Earth Action is committed to fostering that revolution from the ground up.”
Friends of the Earth Action endorsed Sanders for president in July 2015, and was the first environmental group to do so. FOE Action recently ran television ads promoting Sanders in Iowa and New Hampshire.
