National Groups Announce Endorsement of Nina Turner in OH-11

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, three national progressive environmental groups representing tens of thousands of Ohio voters announced their endorsement of Nina Turner for Ohio’s 11th Congressional district. The groups announcing their endorsement of Turner include the Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund, Friends of the Earth Action, and Zero Hour.

Brett Hart, Political Director at the Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund, offered the following statement:

Nina Turner will be a relentless champion for environmental justice and solutions that help our most vulnerable communities. Turner will put polluters in their place and help us achieve the bold solutions needed to tackle the climate emergency and the extinction crisis.

Ariel Moger, Senior Political Coordinator at Friends of the Earth Action, offered this statement:

Friends of the Earth Action is proud to endorse Nina Turner for Congress. A fearless progressive advocate, Turner will undoubtedly fight for people and the planet in Washington, D.C. We desperately need more champions in Congress to push for meaningful and transformational policy, and, if elected, we know Nina Turner will do just that.

Zanagee Artis, Policy Director of Zero Hour, added:

Nina Turner has the experience and the vision to legislate environmental justice and a Green New Deal for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District and for the country as a member of Congress. Zero Hour is proud to endorse Turner because we know that she will be a leading voice on recovering from the pandemic through a renewable energy economy and will fight for a livable future for young Americans.
