Iowa Caucus builds critical momentum for Sanders

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Bernie Sanders’ campaign gained critical momentum, setting up a showdown in the Granite State. Friends of the Earth Action President Erich Pica offers the following statement:

The close vote validates the shift occurring in the American electorate, represented by the Sanders campaign. The people no longer want establishment politics; they want a new American path toward economic and environmental justice led by Bernie Sanders.

The Sanders campaign now has enormous momentum leading to New Hampshire, where polls already show Sanders enjoying a lead over Clinton. It’s time for a candidate with the experience, record and vision for a nation that protects all people and the planet they call home.
