Friends of the Earth Action endorses progressive challengers ahead of Super Tuesday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friends of the Earth Action announced its endorsement of seven progressive candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives today.

Erich Pica, president of Friends of the Earth Action, issued the following statement on behalf of the organization:

With the climate crisis upon us, we need to replace moderate and conservative politicians with real environmental leaders who will pass bold and urgent climate legislation. We are proud to endorse such a diverse and inspiring group of progressive challengers for Congress. These candidates stand with the people and aren’t afraid to take on the corporations that are destroying our communities for profit. We urge our members, supporters, environmentalists and voters across the country to send these true environmentalists to Washington.
