Friends of the Earth Action applauds Warren’s bold climate vision

WASHINGTON – Senator and Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren unveiled her climate plan yesterday evening.

Erich Pica, President of Friends of the Earth Action, issued the following statement in response:

When candidates race to the middle it becomes a race to the bottom. Senator Elizabeth Warren has blazed a different path by embracing and building on one of the best plans her party has to offer — Governor Jay Inslee’s climate plan.  

Friends of the Earth Action commends Senator Warren for taking up Inslee’s mantle as a climate leader. While Inslee has exited the race, his contributions fundamentally changed its course and his legacy lives on in Warren’s commitment to expand on his proposal.
