Friends of the Earth Action applauds Harris’ climate plan

WASHINGTON – Senator and Presidential candidate Kamala Harris unveiled her climate plan today.

Friends of the Earth Action commends Senator Harris for centering frontline, Indigenous and communities of color in her climate plan. Her plan builds on her legacy of holding polluters financially and criminally accountable as California’s Attorney General and Senator.

Senator Harris recognizes that while carbon pricing is not the silver bullet, it can help fund the $10 trillion public investment she calls for to tackle the climate crisis. From ending fossil fuel extraction on public lands to creating jobs and protecting displaced workers, this is a plan that puts the American people first.
