Friends of the Earth Action airs TV ads in support of Ben Jealous

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A new television ad in support of Ben Jealous for Maryland governor is airing this week, sponsored by Friends of the Earth Action.

“Ben Jealous will lead Maryland to a clean energy future as its next governor,” said Erich Pica, President of Friends of the Earth Action. “Ben has spent his life fighting for social and environmental justice and as Governor he’ll continue doing just that for the people of Maryland.”

Friends of the Earth Action will spend just short of six figures to air the ad on cable from June 15 through the primary on June 26. The ad highlights Jealous’ lifetime commitment to environmental protection, including his time as a journalist covering chemical manufacturing and his time fighting for climate justice while leading the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
