FOE Action endorses Russ Feingold for U.S. Senate
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friends of the Earth Action today announced its endorsement of former Senator Russ Feingold in his bid to represent Wisconsin in the U.S. Senate once again.
Friends of the Earth Action President Erich Pica issued the following statement:
Russ Feingold’s progressive and long-time leadership on environmental, social and economic justice make him a natural ally to Friends of the Earth. Feingold’s dedication to these issues can be seen through his support of the Clean Air Act of 20003 and sponsorship of 4P legislation to reduce sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide and mercury in coal-fired power plants; advocacy for renewable energy, rather than fossil fuels; and sponsorship of the McCain-Feingold campaign reform Act. Friends of the Earth Action is proud to support Russ Feingold for U.S. Senate in 2016.
