Friends of the Earth Action Endorses Fred Felleman for Seattle Port Commissioner

WASHINGTON – Today, Friends of the Earth Action announced its support for Fred Felleman, candidate for Seattle Port Commissioner Position 5. Felleman has served on the Commission for the past seven years where he worked to minimize the harmful environmental impacts of the shipping industry in Puget Sound and protect the area’s marine mammals from air and water pollution.

Ariel Moger, Government and Political Affairs Director at Friends of the Earth Action, issued the following statement:

Friends of the Earth Action is proud to endorse Fred Felleman in the race for Seattle Port Commissioner. Fred’s strong leadership on everything from protecting Puget Sound’s endangered orcas to reducing the Port’s carbon emissions demonstrates his commitment to fighting for Seattle’s communities and environment. We encourage King County voters to support Fred Felleman in August and re-elect this climate champion to the Seattle Port Commission.
