Green Groups Celebrate Dave Min’s Victory in CA’s 6th Congressional District

WASHINGTON – Climate Hawks Vote, Food & Water Action, Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund, and Friends of the Earth Action celebrated Dave Min’s victory over Scott Baugh in California’s 47th Congressional District.

The four groups helped drive volunteers to phone banks that made over 100,000 calls to voters during election season to drive turnout for six Congressional climate champions — including Min — in one of California’s closely watched, nationally prioritized swing districts.

“We’re thrilled that Dave Min defeated MAGA Republican Scott Baugh,” said RL Miller, Political Director at Climate Hawks Vote. “Dave’s been a champion in the state legislature against offshore oil drilling and for pragmatic solutions to climate change. His victory shows that a strong climate fighter can run and win on a climate message. We can’t wait for him to add to the ranks of California climate hawks in Congress.”
