Friends of the Earth Action calls on Democrats to support Bernie Sanders for President

WASHINGTON – Friends of the Earth Action is calling on voters to support the progressive candidate and the only real option for President: Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Erich Pica, president of Friends of the Earth Action, issued the following statement on behalf of the organization:

We are proud to support the nation’s progressive champion Sen. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic presidential nomination. Now, more than ever, our country needs to elect a true environmental leader who will fight for bold climate action and protect our communities and the planet.

Senator Sanders has built a diverse, nation-wide coalition, and is our best chance to defeat Trump. He is the only candidate we can trust to advance the large-scale structural changes we need to re-strengthen our democracy and end greedy corporate influence.

The remaining 2020 primaries and caucuses will decide the future of our nation. Friends of the Earth Action is asking our members, supporters, environmentalists and Democrats to vote for a more just and healthier world. Vote for Bernie Sanders.
