Friends of the Earth Action endorses two challengers against Pallone, other progressive candidates for U.S. House and Senate
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Friends of the Earth Action announced its dual endorsement of Amani al-Khatahtbeh and Russ Cirincione, two Democrats challenging Frank Pallone in New Jersey’s 6th congressional district, in addition to a slate of progressive candidates for U.S. House and Senate.
Ariel Moger, Friends of the Earth Action political coordinator, issued the following statement on behalf of the organization:
As our nation continues to face multiple crises, it is more important than ever to have progressives in Congress. As Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Frank Pallone continues to push spineless legislation that protects Big Polluters at the expense of our communities. Solving the climate crisis requires bold leadership, and the people of New Jersey have two excellent choices in Amani and Russ.
We need leaders willing to fight against the entrenched unjust systems and institutions that prioritize corporate interests over people and the planet. Friends of the Earth Action is proud to endorse all of these candidates who are dissatisfied with the status quo and are ready to fight. We urge voters in New York, Colorado, and New Jersey to support these candidates on election day.
