Friends of the Earth Action Endorses Virginia Progressives in Upcoming Elections
WASHINGTON – Today, Friends of the Earth Action announced endorsements for a slate of candidates running in Virginia’s general election. These endorsements further the organization’s mission to uplift candidates who are best positioned to fight for communities and the planet.
Endorsed candidates include:
- Adele McClure, Virginia House District 02
- Joshua Cole, Virginia House District 65
- Rae Cousins, Virginia House District 79
- Nadarius Clark, Virginia House District 84
- Lashrecse Aird, Virginia Senate District 13
- Jennifer Carroll Foy, Virginia State Senate District 33
- Saddam Azlan Salim, Virginia State Senate District 37
“Electing progressives in all areas of government, from the local to federal level, is essential,” said Kayla Mohammed, Federal Policy Advocate at Friends of the Earth Action, “By committing to advance the clean energy transition and fight for climate justice, these candidates are best positioned to put our futures over fossil fuels. We encourage Virginia voters to show their support for them in November.”
